By what you ask... Well...I check my dA messages this morning and got this...

I came in runner-up?, for my Macro photo "Dogwood blossom".

was sponsoring a contest and I entered not even expecting to win. Believe me my expectations were not very high.
Well low and behold, I came in 2nd place. I mean it is not first but I am very fine with that. I am so happy and it gives me restored hope in my photography.

When I first started dA, I was entering my photos for contests and have never won. I became discouraged and actually quit submitting photos until the MBC held their contest and I felt pretty confident in the subject they were wanting.

I am just floored and happy that my photo was thought of as being good enough to place in their contest.

Okay now on to the RDP project. Well...I am sad to say it has flopped. I mean big time belly flop. What I have decided to do is to feature all of those who did enter and save the prize for a contest I am formulating. I was quite disappointed that RDP did not take off.

Hey everyone,
Just a short update to say my photography may have taken a new turn. I don't want to say what it is until it is official. Let's just say I am VERY excited about the new direction. When I know more, I will let you all know.

In all sincerity...
I want to thank all of you who have stopped by my gallery, faved and commented. With your support I have recently surpassed 20K pageviews. It was just January 6, 2008 I had made it to 10K.

The watchers that read my journals and comment on them regularly I especially want to thank from the bottom of my heart.

With out you, I would not have continued here on dA. There was a time when NO ONE responded to my photography nor my JE's. I felt as though I was talking to myself. I was seriously contemplating leaving dA. But because of you, your encouragement and participation I have stayed and I think I am developing as a decent photographer.

I seriously take my watchers and pageviews to heart because it gives me some sort of guide as to how my work is doing.
AGAIN...I thank you all for the wonderful support and kindness you have bestowed upon me. I am really in awe.
